Counselor Zayed Saeed Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Lawyers and Legal Association, met today at the association's headquarters, Dr. Abdulaziz Saud Al Subaie, President of the International Organization for Child Protection in Brussels.

During the meeting, which was attended by members of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Lawyers and Legal Association, they discussed cooperation and familiarization with the association's work system and the most important services it provides to members and awareness campaigns that are in the interest of society.

Al Shamsi gave a definition to Dr. Al Subaie about the mechanism of work of the association’s departments along with the map of events, as well as the commitment of the Emirates Center for Human Rights in spreading the culture of human rights among lawyers and members of the association, and its active role in training graduates of national cadres and working to rehabilitate them according to scientific foundations and studied legal approaches that meet their needs.

Dr. Al-Subaie's visit to the UAE comes within the framework of a tour he made to the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. He was briefed on the efforts made by the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children and the most important developments provided by the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children.

Al-Subaie called on the Foundation to participate in a conference on children's rights, in which many Arab countries and organizations concerned with children's rights around the world participate, to be held next February in the State of Kuwait.

He praised the role of the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children in empowering the affected children and ways to integrate them into society.

After touring the foundation's departments and visiting the children's section, he said that the foundation competes with international institutions in progress and advancement and the tangible effort it makes in dealing with children, taking care of them and protecting them, in addition to paying attention to cultural and technical aspects and keenness to continue their studies.

He added that the results achieved by the Foundation since its inception until now are honorable for the UAE thanks to the generous directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, "may God protect him", to create a healthy environment that guarantees the rights of the child and provides him with the best means of upbringing.

For his part, Al Shamsi expressed his happiness with this visit, praising the great role played by the International Organization for Child Protection, stressing that the UAE, through its human rights arms, is a global partner and a major contributor to the establishment of human rights values, thanks to the keenness of the wise leadership of the state to care and preserve the rights of the child.
